I came to drop more videos of studio time!

I’m doing a solo video today because it shows me recording guitar. Although I’ve been playing guitar for 20 years, I don’t actually regard myself as much of a guitar player. Primarily because I lack a certain professional curiosity about the instrument. The thing that motivates my curiosity to learn and explore the instrument comes from a strictly utilitarian view of songwriting. If I can play/perform/build songs then I’m happy enough with my playing. Everything else I’ve learned has simply been incidental across the length of time I’ve been attempting to write songs.

I imagine it’s a lot like general house maintenance whether it’s fixing a sink, or a broken lock on a door. You don’t set out to want to be an expert at any one thing, but you can get the job done and if you don’t look too closely it doesn’t look too bad, haha!

I lack any mechanism by which I might experience shame or insecurity, so enjoy my struggle in the process and Producer Carter’s patience with my ineptitude, right here!
